Madison Slater to Speak at the International Sports Summit 2025
Cybersecurity leader from Tepper Sports & Entertainment joins Day 1 panel on emerging digital threats in elite sport
Premier Sports Network is pleased to announce Madison Slater, Director of Cybersecurity for Tepper Sports & Entertainment, as a confirmed speaker at the International Sports Summit 2025, taking place at Duke University on 12–13 November 2025.
Slater, who oversees cybersecurity initiatives for the Carolina Panthers, Charlotte FC, and Bank of America Stadium, will join the Day 1 panel, “Protecting the Game: The Emerging Cyber Threat Landscape in Elite Sport.” She will contribute her expertise to discussions focused on risk, resilience, digital infrastructure protection, and executive-level decision-making in high-performance sports organisations.
A respected voice in modern sports cybersecurity
With more than a decade of experience in security operations, risk management, and incident response, Slater has directed both offensive and defensive security teams and has played a central role in helping organisations recover from major cyber incidents. Her leadership includes protecting large-scale venue environments and safeguarding the end-to-end digital ecosystems that support game-day operations, fan engagement platforms, and organisational data.
Slater is known for her ability to bridge technical cybersecurity strategy with board-level decision-making, an approach shaped in part by her early professional background in education. This allows her to communicate complex security concepts clearly to executives, ownership groups, and operational leads—an increasingly critical skill as cyber risk becomes a core business issue in global sport.
She also previously featured as a speaker in PSN’s cybersecurity webinar delivered in partnership with Booz Allen, where she shared insights on cyber readiness and emerging threat landscapes facing rights-holders and venue operators.
Strengthening resilience in a high-stakes industry
At the Summit, Slater will join fellow senior technology leaders from across elite sport to explore the new realities of cybersecurity in a rapidly evolving digital environment. The panel will address a range of issues shaping the industry, including:
Cyber threats targeting teams, leagues, and venue infrastructure
Safeguarding operational systems and performance data
Incident response and crisis recovery in elite environments
Executive communication and cross-department security culture
The impact of connected stadiums, AI, and digital transformation on risk
The session will be moderated by Darren Bartlett, Director at Booz Allen, as part of a wider programme designed to equip leaders with practical strategies for protecting assets, data, and reputation across the global sports ecosystem.
Setting the standard for cyber awareness in sport
Cybersecurity has now become a defining topic for rights-holders, venues, and federations, as digital operations play a central role in ticketing, biometrics, broadcast systems, performance analysis, and fan experience technology. Slater’s expertise will provide senior delegates with real-world insight into what resilient cybersecurity looks like in practice—and what it demands from modern leadership teams.
