National Basketball Association (NBA) side San Antonio Spurs have announced an extension of its partnership with leading athlete engagement platform Teamworks.
With the renewal, the Spurs are streamlining communication and innovating logistical processes across multiple business segments within the organisation while Teamworks deepens its commitment to providing the premium player engagement app for NBA teams.
“Teamworks has been a critical tool in innovating our basketball operations processes and keeping players and coaches engaged every day,” said Brian Wright, General Manager of the Spurs.
“Teamworks provides us with one centralised app that everyone from players to senior leadership and all support staff can log into and stay up-to-date.
Through Teamworks, we have elevated our communication standards and improved efficiencies making it a natural progression to broaden the technology’s use to every individual within the organisation.”
The Spurs are among over 100 professional teams around the world that rely on Teamworks for streamlined communication and strong player engagement. Teamworks partners with a third of the franchises competing in the NBA, a list that includes 2020 playoff teams such as the Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic and Indiana Pacers among others.
“Having an effective player engagement tool is crucial for any professional sports organisation and has only become more critical this past year,” said Zach Maurides, CEO and Founder of Teamworks.
“We’re proud of the impact Teamworks has had on supporting the Spurs’ robust team culture and allowing the team to remain adaptable to the shifting environment. By expanding our partnership, we look forward to providing this same consistency and reliability in communication to other areas of the organisation.”
