NBA launches multimedia betting initiative with new show and social account

The National Basketball Association (NBA) has formed NBABet, a betting-focused content initiative, set to include programming and social media handles.

As part of the new initiative, the league is set to launch new live shows on NBA TV, dedicated to betting information and analysis. The programme will first show on May 21 and go ahead throughout the first two rounds of the playoffs.


The show will be presented by BetMGM and broadcast from WarnerMedia Studios in Atlanta and feature betting analysis and breakdowns from experts from within the industry.


From the second round of the playoffs, the NBA website and app will have a new NBABet section, which will be the home of editorial content from its partners, including Bleacher Report and Yahoo Sports.


In addition, a new NBABet social media account will feature content such as video segments, highlights, analysis, insights and trends.


The move comes after the NBA offered a betting broadcast on its NBA League Pass streaming service and NBA TV last year, after it restarted in Orlando following its halt due to the pandemic.
