The Ladies Professional Golf association (LPGA) has publicised the support from commercial partners that allows the return ahead of scheduled play later this month.
Pre-existing partners, Cambia Health Solutions - Oregon-based non-profit health company were earlier this week announced as the official mask partners, providing players, cadies and staff across the LPGA and developmental tours protective masks. Cambia Health Solutions are a long-term supporter of the LPGA tour, serving as title sponsors of the Cambia Portland Classic since 2014.
NEC, Official Technology another existing partner is again showing their support by providing biometric expertise to fuel safer and more hygienic experiences for staff, players and fans. NEC will also provide a critical technology solution that allows the LPGA to feel confident and safe with its back-to-play protocols.
LPGA tour players can also feel some ease when travelling to different destinations. Global Rescue, official travel risk and crisis management provider, will provide medical advisory support and crisis extraction service for all players.
In addition, two new partners have shown their support in aid of the LPGA getting back underway. WHOOP, Official Fitness Wearable provider will provide all players, staff and caddies with their ‘Strap 3.0’. The self-monitoring device will help identify elevated respiratory rates that may indicate COVID-19 before the onset symptoms. Theraworx Protect will also provide their products to the LPGA golf courses that help protect the T-zone, (eyes, nose, mouth) as well as the hands, with a barrier to infection for an extended period of time.
With all new partners aiding the return of play the 2020 LPGA tour season is scheduled to resume on July 31 to Aug 2 with the LGA Drive On Championship, Kelly Hyne, LPGA Chief Sales Officer said “The LGPA is thankful to have so many partners that have helped us prepare to go back to play safely.”
