Premier League side Leeds United have signed a new two-year partnership with Chinese electronics manufacturer, Hisense.
Hisense will have rights to branding on the East Stand of Leeds United’s home ground, Elland Road, as well as having a visible presence on LED advertising boards, and in the media backdrop during interviews,
The partnership will also mean that Hisense televisions equipment will be used around Elland Road, as well as their Thorp Arch training ground.
The Chinese multinational firm have previously sponsored high profile football events such as the 2018 FIFA World Cup held in Russia and will also sponsor the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament, which has been postponed for a year due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
As part of the deal, the clubs own on-demand television channel, LUTV will now have an application available on the Hisense VIDAA Smart TV platform, so fans can watch exclusive club content.
“Through the partnership, Hisense will receive significant brand visibility through the partnership, globally through the Premier League TV footprint and regionally through their high-profile branding on the East Stand here at Elland Road that directly overlooks the M621 motorway and is seen by over 30 million vehicles annually.” said Paul Bell, Executive Director at Leeds United.
The deal comes less than a week after the newly promoted Premier League side announced they’d signed a new partnership with JAY Z’s sports management company, Roc Nation Sports. This was completed in a bid to increase the clubs branding across the USA and Asia and become one of the most influential clubs in the world.
Additionally, this summer Leeds United signed a new, record-breaking five-year deal with German kit manufacturer, Adidas and entering a new multiyear partnership with SBOTOP, with the global sports betting brand becoming the principal sponsor of the Leeds United kit for the start of their Premier League campaign.
