The Kansas City NWSL expansion team have agreed a new shirt sponsorship deal with Palmer Square Capital Management for their inaugural season.
Palmer Square’s logo is set to appear on the front of the Kansas City teams shirts for their game against the Portland Thorns on April 9th. The club will auction off shirts from the game and the proceeds will go to community partner Variety KC.
Also, a portion of the sponsorship money that would usually be paid towards the club will go towards Variety KC, which is a charity that provides developmentally disabled children with equipment and opportunities needed for activity and inclusion.
Part owner of Kansas City NWSL club, Chris Long said: “The trajectory and platform of KC NWSL and the entire league are powerful ways for us to tell the story of Palmer Square and the innovative approach we bring to our global client base,”
“There is so much commonality between the platforms; in particular, we have a brand that stands for the community and promotes women and inclusion and we are excited to further invest in a substantial way.”
Kansas City will be returning to the NWSL for the first time in four years on April 9th; in their cup showdown against Portland Thorns in Portland.
