US over-the-top (OTT) subscription sports broadcaster and streaming service FloSports has picked up rights to provide coverage of Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) events in a four-year partnership.
As part of the deal, FloSports will provide over 100 hours of competitive cycling content. They will become the exclusive streaming provider of the UCI World Championship series, including the road, BMX, track, cyclocross, mountain bike and esports events.
UCI president, David Lappartient said: “We’re looking forward to the partnership with FloSports. The North American market is a very important territory for cycling with a large number of top professionals, but also enthusiastic riders across all disciplines,”
“FloSports is growing stronger and is the future, and they will give their best to promote the sport. We have every reason to believe that the association between the UCI and FloSports will benefit North American audiences.”
During 2020, FloSports’ broadcasting schedule included events such as the high- profile Giro D’Italia and Vuelta a Espana, as well as Paris-Roubaix, Tour of Flanders and more.
