The combat sports streaming platform FITE, has agreed a carriage deal in the UK with Virgin TV to offer pay-per-view (PPV) events on its devices.
From March 21, promotions including Top Rank Boxing, Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) and All Elite Wrestling (AEW) will be available to watch from the Virgin TV service, kickstarting with a National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) event, featuring world heavyweight champions Nick Aldis.
Other upcoming PPV events on FITE include the much anticipated Triller Fight Club event between YouTube star Jake Paul and MMA fighter Ben Askren on April 17. The online entertainer has moved into the boxing world and has been looking to secure fights with top level, professional fighters to support his sporting career.
“We give our customers access to some of the most popular pay-per-view events from the world of sport and live entertainment and this new deal with FITE will expand our offering with an increased range of events to purchase," said David Bouchier, chief TV and entertainment officer at Virgin Media.
FITE streams over 1,000 events per year from Top Rank, PBC, AEW and the NWA and was most recently the exclusive digital platform hosting the exhibition fight between boxing legends Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr, the biggest PPV event of 2020.
