NBA franchise Boston Celtics have announced a new multi-year partnership with global company Vistaprint.
Vistaprint’s logo is set to appear on the top left corner of the 17-time NBA World Champions’ jersey for the 2020/21 season. The logo will match the Celtics’ signature green or white colours depending on the jersey.
The multi-year partnership has been agreed to help support small and micro businesses throughout Greater Boston and New England. Throughout the pandemic, Vistaprint have been making a conscious effort to help small businesses and have already teamed up with the Celtics on a number of occasions this year.
The two first partnered on a ‘Food for Heroes’ scheme, in which they purchased food from local-restaurants that were hit hard by the pandemic and donated the food to front line workers. Additionally, the Celtics and Vistaprint partnered with the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation to launch a Save Small Business Fund, which was a $1 million grant to help alleviate the losses of small businesses.
“As a company with deep roots in the Boston area, we are thrilled to announce this partnership with our hometown team, the Boston Celtics,” said Vistaprint’s Chief Marketing Officer, Ricky Engelberg.
“Even more so, we’re proud to join up with the Celtics to shine a spotlight on the important role small businesses play here in our community and across the country. Though our partnership with the Celtics is just beginning, Vistaprint’s partnership with small businesses has been in place for more than 20 years.
“We are excited to use this new platform to help enhance that 20-year commitment in a way that we’ve never done before. This work has never been more important as small business owners face economic hardship brought on by the pandemic.”
