Arsenal have confirmed the appointment of Richard Garlick as the clubs director of football operations.
Garlick, who currently operates as the Premier League's director of football, will step down from his role to take up his new position in North London.
A qualified solicitor who specialises in sports law, Garlick previously held a role as director of football at West Bro from 2010, before leaving for the Premier League in 2018.
An Arsenal club statement read: "Richard Garlick is joining Arsenal as director of football operations.
"Richard, who is currently director of football at the Premier League and was previously director of football administration at West Bromwich Albion, will join the club in the coming months.
"He will be a member of the Arsenal executive team and will be working closely with technical director Edu, manager Mikel Arteta and academy manager Per Mertesacker.
"His responsibilities will include football operations in the first team and academy, all player contract management and relationships with football's governing bodies."
Arsenal have been specifically looking for a senior figure with a background in law and contracts, following the departure of their head of football operations, Huss Fahmy, in October.
There were fears that the club had been left exposed in some of their dealings and contract negotiations, with head of football Raul Sanllehi leaving Arsenal in August as well.
